Cancellation Policy
For single workshops:
Please note that all fees are non refundable.
You may however at any time transfer your enrollment to another dancer, but each dancer is responsible for finding a replacement herself. Please contact us beforehand and let us know who will take your place.
For retreats and intensives:
Please note that due to the nature of these type of events, our base costs are high regardless of the number of participants and spots sell at a slower pace, which calls for a more strict cancellation policy, no matter what the reason for cancelling may be.
Your deposit is to be paid upon registration and is non refundable AND non transferrable. For the remaining fees, the following general cancellation policy applies (please note that the cancellation policy may differ for each event, please check the event description!):

Dancers are fully responsible for arranging their own health AND cancellation insurances to be able to recover their costs in case of a cancellation.. By enrolling and paying your deposit, you fully agree to these conditions.
Can I pay in installments for the intensives?
Yes. We can arrange for a payment plan with several installments. These installments may vary depending on the event, so please contact us to find out more. Please note that the deposit is due upon registration. Your enrollment is valid and confirmed as soon as we have received your deposit.
Can I pay later?
Please note that your spot is only secured until AFTER we have received your payment of the workshop fee or deposit! Upon registration, we will hold your spot for 2 weeks to allow for payments to come in. After that, your spot automatically becomes available again.
Can I pay through paypal?
Payments through bank transfer are preferred, but it is possible to pay us through paypal. All transactions through paypal are subject to a transaction fee, which will have to be paid by the dancer.
Are the Raqs Deluxe Events for professional dancers only?
No. We have a selection of events for any level of dancer. Please check the description of the individual event to find out more about the expected level. Most events however require a solid base in Bellydance Technique. Our multiday intensives are mostly geared towards the more serious and experienced dancer. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions concerning your level.
How many dancers will be at the event?
Most of our intensives and retreats will have a maximum number of participants of 18 upto 25 dancers. We may also organise single workshops where more people will be admitted. Please check the description of each event to find out more about the number of participants!
Can we videotape the classes?
We will designate a time frame for videotaping at each event. Video's and pictures will also be taken throughout the event and send to all participants by Luna. Please keep all videos made in class for your own practising.
Can we enroll for just the workshops in case of a retreat? (no lodging?)
You are not required to sleep at the house during our retreat, but beware that our base costs for these type of events remain the same, regardless of how many participants spend the night. So, while you are not obligated to stay at our house, sadly we cannot give any discounts in case you decide to only participate with the dance classes.
Can we enroll for just 1 or 2 days?
Probably not. Our intention with Raqs Deluxe is to bring the famous Dreamcamp concept of Azzia to Europe. European dancers thus have a way of experiencing this unique concept within their own continent and therefore saving a lot of money as flight tickets to Canada can be quite expensive. We feel that letting dancers enroll for just a few days takes away the magic of the experience.
Will there be a single workshop too?
We have not planned one so far. Depending on if the demand is high enough and on how Aziza's schedule looks like, we might add on a single workshop afterwards (no guarantees though, as this retreat is intensive for the teachers too!).

Conditions and Responsibilities:
Hold Harmless Clause : I assume all risks and hazards incidental to my participation in this event, and do hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify and hold harmless Raqs Deluxe Events and Luna Bellydance for any claim arising out of injury to myself (or others) or personal loss.
Assumption of Risk:
I am voluntarily participating in Raqs Deluxe Events with knowledge that it involves some inherent risks and danger.
Insurance:
You must be covered by medical insurance that is valid in Belgium. In case you are travelling from abroad, you are responsible for obtaining travel insurance, including coverage for trip cancellation, loss and theft of baggage, and emergency evacuation. Raqs Deluxe Events and Luna Bellydance cannot be responsible for these expenses.
Arbitration:
Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the performance there under, including without limitation any claim to bodily injury, property damage or death, shall be settled by binding arbitration in Hasselt, Belgium, in accordance with the rules of Belgian law. This agreement to arbitrate does not waive or modify the liability relates contained in the foregoing paragraph.
Release of Liability:
As a condition of acceptance each participant understands and has agreed to all information above and the following release of liability: I have carefully read the schedule of activities, requirements, the “Conditions and Responsibilities” provided by the brochure, and I am aware that the event involves the risk of personal injury, death or loss (damage) to property. In consideration of the benefits derived by the trip, I voluntarily recognize and accept all risks thereof. I understand and agree on behalf of myself, my dependents, heirs, executors, and assigns, to release and hold harmless Raqs Deluxe Events, Luna Bellydance and any of its officers, employees, agents, or representatives, from any and all claims, including but not limited to liability for delays, monetary damages, illness, injuries, death, or for the loss of or damage to property resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions. I agree to abide by the conditions set forth under the “Conditions and Responsibilities” and other sections as stated herein or elsewhere published. I affirm that I am covered by medical insurance, which is valid in Belgium. I affirm that I have not relied on any additional oral or written representation of Raqs Deluxe Events or their suppliers for executing this release. I further acknowledge receipt of this release and I understand and accept its terms and conditions. Any questions I had concerning this release have been answered to my full satisfaction.
